"Halloween" (Season 2 Episode 5)
Ah, the episode that started it all. Arguably the best of the bunch, "Halloween" features Michael having to fire someone at the staff party when everyone's in costume (including himself). But it's the final scene of Michael and the trick-or-treaters that softens him for perhaps the first time on The Office, creating a stark difference between Michael Scott and his U.K. counterpart David Brent (played by Ricky Gervais). It's a must-watch for a reason!

The best Halloween episodes of The Office always seem involve Dwight, don't they? 3"Koi Pond" (Season 6 Episode 8)
You're forgiven if you forgot The Office's infamous koi pond drama took place during a holiday, but this season 6 gem technically doubled as a Halloween episode thanks to its opener (which no longer airs on Peacock). The since-deleted opener depicted a Halloween party in the warehouse, but it was yanked from streaming services over upset about Michael faking his death in front of a group of kids.
