Is it just me, or does your desire to put on a dress go completely out the window once the temperature drops below 12 degrees? Fleece-lined tights have been racking up millions of views on TikTok – the latest trend following on from the Roman Empire, girl math, and Tube girl – and are all over our FYP. In case you're not familiar with this cold-weather essential yet, we're here to break it down for you. At first glance, they look like any other pair of tights – coming in various sheer to opaque finishes depending on the style. What makes them extra special is that these leggings are lined with super soft fleece that will actually keep you warm (!!) without adding unnecessary bulk or being noticeably thicker to the naked eye. Though most pairs come in standard black, a few are available in a limited range of flesh tones.

Of course, there’s a lot more to these tights than their plush fleece lining. The elastic waistband offers a smooth, second-skin-like fit and they’re typically offered in footed and stirrup silhouettes to accommodate your fit preferences. If you ask us, it's definitely worth investing in a pair or two considering how often you’ll be wearing them.
