The Bachelor's Lea Cayanan From Joey's Season: Facts, Spoilers

Joey Graziadei's season of The Bachelor is officially here and officially chaotic, but one thing we can all agree on (other than the fact that this season is clearly being promoted by Big Tennis)? Joey's group of contestants seems pretty great. Especially Lea Cayanan, who proved that she is Here For The Right Reasons during night one of roaming around the hallowed halls of Bachelor Mansion.

Lea Met Joey Before Everyone Else

Bachelor Nation was first introduced to Lea during last season's After the Final Rose—right when Joey was announced as the next Bachelor. In case you missed this fated moment, Lea was given a letter to open during night one of The Bachelor, which turned out to be an opportunity to steal someone's one-on-one date anytime during the season ahead of Hometown Dates. Instead, Lea went ahead and burned the letter, and as a result....

She Got Joey's First Impression Rose

Since this happened during night one, we're not including it in our spoilers section. But! If you didn't watch the episode, here's a quick recap: Joey was so impressed by Lea's decision to ditch the chance to steal time that he gave her the First Impression Rose. Well deserved!

"I want to give a lot of autonomy to you and your journey and the intentions you set, and I also want to give a lot of love and respect to the women that have put their life on hold and come here," she said. "At the end of the day, I can have as many advantages and superficial little one ups as I can, but if I'm not Joey's person at the end of this, then I'm not, and if I am, I am. And it's not going to matter whether or not I get a little card."

Lea Is From Waipahu, Hawaii

And considering Joey teaches tennis in Hawaii (did you know he plays tennis? DID YOU?), this is highly convenient for their relationship going forward. We've seen too many Bachelor Nation relationships burned by long distance to count!

She's an Account Manager

23-year-old Lea works as an account manager, and when she "isn’t working, she loves spending time painting, hiking and being by the ocean." In fact, ABC's bio writer would like us to know that "She loves the beach so much that she wishes she could be a fish for a day and thinks she was a sea creature in another life."

She's Not Into Casual Dating

As ABC notes, "Lea takes relationships and love very seriously and has never been one for casual dating. She is ready to be wifed up and is a sucker for big romantic gestures. Joey, we hope you’re taking notes!"

Other fun facts? She's into canoe paddling, plays the flute, and enjoys cliff diving. Which 100 percent means we'll be seeing her and Joey jumping off a cliff sometime in the near future because lord knows this show loves nothing more than forcing people to leap off high precipices.

Lea Is Eliminated in Spain

Lea makes it to Joey's top 10, but according to Reality Steve's spoilers, she's eliminated in Spain after a group date when Joey's final 10 become his final 6.

But Lea still seems pretty thrilled about her time on the show with Joey, writing on Instagram, "I could not be more excited, anxious, or hopeful for this insane journey unfold. It has been incredibly humbling and empowering to have already received so much love and support from the communities that raised me. Y’all mean the absolute world to me 🤍🇵🇭🌺 just a small town girl from Oahu, looking for love <3"
