Too Hot To Handle's Alex calls Elys out on Instagram

Too Hot To Handle's Alex Snell has called out ex-girlfriend and former cast mate Elys Hutchinson on Instagram, after she shared pictures of the pair from when they were dating.

Yesterday (20th August) Elys posted three photos on her Instagram account of herself and Alex from when they were together. The pair met on the most recent series of Netflix's Too Hot To Handle and dated for six months before ending their relationship.

Elys captioned the posts: "Okaaaayyyyy just because you all wanted more content… nothing but good vibes over here @alexsnelll 🤠."

Alex has since commented on Elys' post asking her to take the pictures down out of respect for him and his new relationship.

He said: "With due respect, this is really unfair on both myself and my girlfriend. Can you please remove this. Just for some engagement seems totally out of order?"

So far Elys has not removed the pictures.

Alex then followed up his comments, explaining in a TikTok he found Elys sharing the pictures "out of order" as he now has a new girlfriend following his relationship with Elys.

"Hey guys so I just wanted to clear this up a little bit. I was a little surprised by this this morning. I saw a post of me and Elys on Instagram. Now some of you may not be aware I do actually have a girlfriend," he said. "I don’t want to sound petty but I just think out of respect this was a little bit out of order. It’s not normal. With the show [Too Hot To Handle], this has been dragged on quite a bit. But yeah I just felt this was a little bit out of order."

Elys, and the rest of the Too Hot To Handle cast, were previously unable to share updates of what happened with their relationships after the retreat, until late last week when Netflix shared an official video of the cast giving their updates.

Following the video, Elys also updated her followers on Instagram to let them know she and Alex were no longer together.

In a statement posted on Instagram, along with a picture of herself and Alex, Elys said: "Okay, here goes. One of the questions I have been asked the most is of course.. are Alex and I still together? Thank you for being patient with us, the entire experience of Too Hot To Handle has been a whirlwind and finding the right time to address rumours was always going to be tricky.

"After 6 incredible months together post filming, Alex and I parted ways as friends. It was hard watching yourself fall in love on screen after parting ways but also amazing watching it back.

"He may not have been the one, but I’m sure the one for me is out there somewhere and I hope he finds his one too ♥️."

Alex responded to Elys' initial post saying he wished her all the best and appreciated the time they had together.

"While our journey on the show didn't lead to a long-term relationship, I appreciate the time we had together and the memories we made," he said. "Wishing you all the best in finding your special someone, and I hope you have a great future ahead. Take care ❤️‍🔥."

Elys and Alex met on series five of Too Hot To Handle, where after some serious workshopping and lessons from Lana they let their guards down and formed an emotional connection.

The couple said "I love you" during the final episode and Elys was crowned the winner of the series by her fellow cast members, walking away from the show with $50,000 after she split the prize fund with runner up Dre Woodard.

Here's hoping Elys and Alex can work things out.

Cosmopolitan UK has reached out to Elys for comment.
